NEET UG 2024 exam will not be cancelled, Supreme Court said re-examination is not justice to 20 lakh students
The Supreme Court finally gave its verdict on Tuesday in the NEET UG Paper Leak case. The Supreme Court said that the NEET UG exam will not be held again. The court said that if this exam is held again, it will be injustice to 20 lakh students. Since a large number of students are affected, we cannot order the cancellation of the exam. The Supreme Court said that it cannot be said that the exam has been completely affected. The court said that we have also compared the results of three years before giving the verdict. If the exam is canceled, then there is a possibility of the session getting messed up.
Along with this, the Supreme Court also gave its verdict on the controversial question and said that the answer to that controversial question is option 4. Therefore, now the National Testing Agency can release the exam result on this basis.
Let us tell you that during the earlier hearing, the Supreme Court had said that unless there is a strong basis, one cannot ask for a re-examination. In the NEET UG paper leak case, a bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud heard the case. Let us tell you that about 40 applications were filed in the Supreme Court in the NEET UG paper leak case. In all the applications, the demand was that the exam should be conducted again. Let us tell you that 23 lakh candidates had given the NEET UG paper.
