In a major boost for medical aspirants, the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has announced the addition of 195 new MBBS seats in the ongoing NEET UG Counselling 2025. The move comes after approvals from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and a go-ahead from the Delhi High Court.

The fresh seat approval primarily includes:
Government and private medical colleges that had recently sought seat expansion.
Institutions where infrastructure and faculty upgrades were completed, allowing NMC to grant additional intake capacity.
Colleges that had been awaiting regulatory clearance and judicial permission before participating in the seat matrix.
With these additions, the overall seat availability in Round 2 counselling has increased significantly, giving many candidates a better chance at securing MBBS admission within the state quota.
