MCC Revises NEET UG Counselling Schedule 2025, Extends Registration Deadline to July 31
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule, extending the registration and fee payment deadline for Round 1 until July 31, 2025. This extension provides candidates with additional time to complete the registration process, which was originally set to close on July 28.

The MCC’s decision comes in response to concerns raised by candidates facing technical issues and document upload delays. The move aims to ensure that all eligible aspirants have ample time to complete their applications accurately.
📌 Background
NEET UG counselling is conducted for admission to approximately 1.15 lakh MBBS and BDS seats under the All India Quota (AIQ), deemed universities, central universities, and other participating institutions. Over 12 lakh students qualified for NEET UG 2025 and are now competing in the national counselling process.
The seat matrix for Round 1 has already been released, featuring more than 775 medical colleges across the country. Candidates must register, fill choices, and lock them before the final deadline to be considered for seat allotment.

Register and Pay Fees: Ensure registration is completed by 3 PM on July 31.
Fill and Lock Choices: Submit and lock preferred college/course choices by 11:55 PM on July 31.
Report to Colleges: If allotted a seat, report to the designated college from August 1 to 6.
Document Verification: Colleges will verify submitted documents between August 7 and 8.
