The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially announced the schedule for Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2025. Registration for the second round will begin on September 4, 2025, while the choice-filling and locking process will commence from September 5, 2025.

Key Dates for Round 2 Counselling

• Registration Window Opens: September 4, 2025

• Choice-Filling & Locking: September 5, 2025

• Processing of Seat Allotment: Likely to begin soon after choice-locking closes

• Result Declaration: To be announced on the MCC portal after processing

Eligibility for Round 2

Candidates who:

1. Registered in Round 1 but were not allotted a seat.

2. Did not report or join the allotted college after Round 1.

3. Wish to upgrade their seat from Round 1.

4. Fresh candidates who did not register earlier but wish to participate now.

All these groups are eligible to participate in Round 2. However, candidates who have already joined their allotted seats in Round 1 and submitted documents may not be eligible to participate unless they apply for an upgrade.

Counselling Details

MCC is conducting NEET UG 2025 counselling for:

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats

• Seats at Central and Deemed Universities

• Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune

• Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) colleges

State counselling authorities are separately conducting counselling for the remaining 85% state quota seats.

What Candidates Should Do

• Visit the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in) to complete registration and fill choices as per the announced dates.

• Keep all documents, including NEET UG 2025 admit card, scorecard, Class 10 and 12 certificates, category certificates (if applicable), and identity proof, ready for verification.

• Carefully lock choices before the deadline to avoid auto-locking of preferences.

Next Steps

Following the choice-filling and processing of seats, the Round 2 seat allotment results will be published by MCC. Candidates will then be required to download their allotment letter and report to the allotted institute within the specified timeframe.
