MCC NEET UG 2025 Counselling Starts: Here’s Your Step-by-Step Guide for Medical Admissions

    NEET
MCC initiates NEET UG 2025 counselling with a four-round process for medical and dental admissions, including a detailed online registration guide.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) began the NEET UG Counselling 2025 on July 21 via its official portal mcc.nic.in, inviting over 12 lakh qualified candidates to compete for roughly 1.15 lakh MBBS and BDS seats in medical and dental colleges across India.

The first counselling round registration is open until July 28, followed by choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting schedules planned through early August. Alongside the MCC’s centralised counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and central institutions, various states have commenced their own counselling processes for state quota seats.

A Transparent and Coordinated Counselling Process

NEET UG Counselling under MCC covers 15% AIQ seats for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing seats in government colleges, AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, and some universities. Round 1 registration opened on July 21 and closes by July 28, with choice filling starting July 22 and locking by July 28. Seat allotment is scheduled between July 29 and 30, with results announced on July 31.

Selected candidates must report to allotted colleges between August 1 and 6. States such as Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, and Punjab have begun separate counselling for their 85% state quota. Officials advise candidates to carefully read the official information bulletin and prepare required documents to ensure smooth registration and admission.

How to Register for NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Step-by-Step Guide

To register for the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025, candidates can follow these steps:

    1. Visit the Official MCC Website: Open your web browser and go to the official MCC portal at mcc.nic.in. It is recommended to use a stable internet connection and preferably a desktop or laptop for a better user experience.

    2. Locate the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ Section: On the homepage, you will find various links related to medical counselling. Look for the section titled ‘UG Medical Counselling’ and click on it. This section contains all important announcements, guidelines, and registration links related to NEET UG Counselling.

    3. Access the NEET UG 2025 Registration Link: Within the UG Medical Counselling section, find and click on the ‘NEET UG 2025 Registration’ link. This will redirect you to the registration portal where you can begin the process of creating your counselling profile.

    4. Fill in the Required Details: On the registration page, carefully enter all the requested information. This typically includes personal details such as your name, date of birth, contact information, and NEET score details. You will also be asked to create a strong password to secure your counselling account. Double-check all entries for accuracy before submission to avoid any discrepancies later.

    5. Submit the Registration Form and Pay the Fee
After filling in your details, submit the registration form. You will then be prompted to pay the counselling registration fee online. Payments can typically be made via net banking, credit/debit cards, or other digital wallets accepted by the portal. Ensure that the transaction is completed and wait for confirmation.

    6. Confirmation and Document Upload
Once your payment is successful, a confirmation page will be generated. Save this page as proof of registration. You should also download a copy of your filled counselling form. Some rounds may require you to upload scanned copies of relevant documents such as your NEET scorecard, identity proof, domicile certificate, and category certificates. Make sure to prepare quality scanned copies that meet the size and format requirements specified in the information bulletin.

    7. Choice Filling and Locking (Following Registration): Following registration, candidates must participate in choice filling by selecting preferred colleges and courses from the available options. Choices should be carefully prioritised based on personal preference and cutoff expectations. Once finalised, you must lock your choices within the stipulated deadline to be eligible for seat allotment.
