NTA has declared the session 2 results for JEE Main 2024. Here is the process to calculate the rank from percentile.
The National Test Agency (NTA) declared the JEE Main 2024 session 2 result on April 25, 2024. Candidates can access their IIT JEE Main results 2024 by logging in with their application number and date of birth. Top 2,50,000 candidates are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam. JEE Main 2024 session 2 result – How to calculate percentile
NTA will calculate the percentile score for each subject and in total. The formula for calculating the percentile score is listed below:
Percentile | Formula |
Total Percentile | (100 x Number of candidates with raw score ≤ T1) / Total Number of candidates who appeared for the exam |
Mathematics Percentile | (100 x No. of candidates appeared from the session with a raw score ≤M1 score in Mathematics) / Total No. of candidates who appeared for the exam |
Physics Percentile | (100 x Number of candidates with raw score ≤ P1 in Physics)/ Total No. of candidates who appeared for the exam |
Chemistry Percentile | (100 x Number of candidates with raw score ≤ C1 in Chemistry) / Total No. of candidates who appeared for the exam |

The JEE Main exam took place on April 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 12, with approximately 12.57 lakh students participating. NTA conducted the test in two sessions, in January and April 2024, with over 24 lakh registrations across both sessions. JEE Main 2024 Session 1 was held between January 24 and February 1.
