The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have begun the first round of counselling for candidates who appeared in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025. The counselling is for admissions into the prestigious 5-year BS-MS dual degree and 4-year BS/BTech programs.

📅 Key Counselling Dates:

• Round 1 Counselling Begins: July 21, 2025

• Registration and Choice Filling Period: June 26 – July 7, 2025

Candidates who secured a place in the merit list are eligible to participate in the counselling process by confirming their preferences and completing the admission formalities online.

🏛 Participating IISERs and Seat Intake:

⚙️ Counselling Highlights:

• Candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank, category, and filled preferences.

• Multiple rounds of seat allotment are expected.

• Candidates allotted a seat can choose to freeze, float, or withdraw the seat.

• Seat acceptance fee: ₹35,000 for General/EWS/OBC; ₹17,500 for SC/ST.

✅ What Candidates Should Do:

1. Log in to the IISER admission portal to check seat allotment status.

2. Confirm the seat by paying the acceptance fee.

3. Download the provisional allotment letter and follow institute-specific admission steps.

4. Stay updated for further rounds if opted for the float option.

The counselling process will continue over several rounds to ensure that candidates are placed in their highest preferred IISER and program based on merit and availability.
