GATE 2024 cut-off drops for CS, EC; 23% increase in total registrations this year
GATE cut-off 2024 for all papers and number of students who registered and appeared available at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) cut-off 2024 has dropped for computer science and information technology, and electronics and communication engineering papers across all categories. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has released the GATE 2024 cut-off for all categories on the official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
The GATE cut-off 2024 has increased for other major subjects including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and physics.
Along with the cut-off, the number of candidates who registered and appeared for GATE exam 2024 has also been released. A total of 8,26,239 candidates registered for the MTech entrance exam, of which over 6.5 lakh appeared. Amongst GATE papers, the highest number of candidates, 1,52,652, registered for CS paper of which 1,23,967 wrote the exam. This was followed by civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and life sciences papers.
The new paper data science and artificial intelligence saw close to 52,500 registrations while over 39,000 sat for the exam. GATE 2024 was conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11 for 30 papers in two shifts.
