From JEE Mains final answer key 2025 for session 1, NTA drops 12 questions

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 1. Upon reviewing the challenges submitted by candidates, the NTA has decided to drop 12 questions from the final evaluation. Consequently, these questions will not be considered when calculating candidates’ scores.
Implications for Candidates:
- Scoring Adjustment: The dropped questions will be excluded from the total score calculation. For example, if the original total was based on 90 questions and 12 are dropped, the new total will be based on 78 questions.
- Normalization Process: The NTA employs a normalization procedure to account for variations in difficulty across different shifts. This ensures fairness in scoring, especially when questions are dropped.
Next Steps:
- Result Announcement: The results for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 are expected to be released by February 12, 2025. Candidates should monitor the official JEE Main website for updates.
- Score Calculation: Candidates’ scores will be calculated based on the remaining valid questions. It’s essential to understand that the dropping of questions is a standard procedure to maintain the exam’s integrity and fairness.
