OVERVIEW

CUET 2024 – The National Testing Agency has started the CUET 2024 registration process on February 27 in online mode. Candidates can register for CUET UG exam till March 26, 2024. NTA has released the CUET information bulletin 2024 on its official website. The CUET application correction window will open on March 28, 2024 in online mode. Candidates can make changes in the application form till March 29. The National Testing Agency will conduct the Common University Entrance Test 2024 from May 15 to May 31, in hybrid mode. One of the biggest changes in CUET 2024 is the reduction of subject choices, which is brought down to 6, from 10 last year. The application fees of NTA CUET 2024 must be paid to be able to appear for the CUET UG 2024 test. The NTA will likely release the CUET UG 2024 city intimation slips from April 30, 2024. Applicants can download the CUET 2024 admit card tentatively in second week of May. What’s new in CUET 2024?

  • The CUET UG 2024 examination will be held in hybrid mode.
  • NTA has reduced the number of test subjects from ten to six. Candidates can select either 4 domain subjects, 1 language subject and 1 general test or 3 domain subjects, 2 language subjects and 1 general test.
  • There is an increase in the CUET UG application fees. In order to select up to three subjects, candidates in the general category have to pay Rs. 1,000, Rs. 900 for OBC-NCL and EWS applicants, and Rs. 800 for SC/ST/third gender candidates to submit a CUET form.
  • The NTA has reduced the number of CUET exam centres to 380. Now, there are 354 exam centres within India and 26 exam centres outside India.
  • The CUET 2024 official website has been changed to cuetug.ntaonline.in, from the previous website cuet.samarth.ac.in 2024.
  • The National Testing Agency will be mostly conducting the exams for a subject in a single day, eliminating the need for normalisation of NTA scores.

 

 

About CUET UG 2024

The full form of CUET is Common University Entrance Test which is conducted by the National Testing Agency. Eligiblity

Candidates preparing for CUET 2024 UG, have to examine all of the CUET eligibility requirements before submitting an CUET UG application form. The participating institutions determine the eligibility requirements for each programme, whereas the NTA sets the requirements to appear for the CUET UG test. A candidate must have received a passing grade in Class 10+2 from a recognised board in order to be eligible for the CUET exam.   • Minimum age requirement: There is no age limit for CUET entrance examination.
  • Nationality: The candidate must have Indian citizenship in order to be eligible for the CUET entrance test.
  • Educational qualifications: To be eligible for CUET entrance exam, candidates must have qualified Class 10+2 from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks obtained.
  • Subjects studied: Candidates must have studied any of the following subjects during the Class 12th: Accountancy, Agriculture, Anthropology, Art Education Sculpture, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics/Business Economics, Engineering Graphics, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Studies, General Test, Geography, History, Home Science, Languages, Legal Studies, Mass Media/ Mass Communication, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology and others.
  • Qualification exam marks: Candidates must score at least 50% in the last qualifying examination. For candidates from SC, ST, and OBC-NCL categories, the minimum mark requirement is 45%.

After filling the CUET 2024 registration form, candidates are required to pay the application fees. The CUET Fee can be paid through debit card, UPI, Pay TM services, a credit card or net banking. The CUET 2024 application process could be completed only after the successful submission of application fees. NTA has released the CUET application form on February 27, on its CUET 2024 official website. Candidates can visit the CUET official website 2024 – cuetug.ntaonline.in to check the application form. CUET Marking Scheme 2024
