COMEDK Undergraduate Entrance Test 2026

OVERVIEW

COMEDK is the “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” to determine the merit of students in an effective, fair, transparent, and non-exploitative testing procedure. Presently there are around 150 Engineering colleges that are affiliated with COMEDK and utilize its testing mechanism for taking admission to UG Programme.

ABOUT

  • Mode: The test will be conducted online in a computer-based format.
  • Sections: There will be three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Type of Questions: All questions will be Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options, out of which only one is correct.
  • No. of Questions: Each section will contain 60 questions.
  • Marking Scheme: Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • Medium: The examination will be conducted in English only.

Timing

The exam will be conducted in two sessions:

  • Morning Session: 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
  • Afternoon Session: 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM

Eligiblity

General Eligibility

  • Nationality: Indian Citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible to appear for the exam.
  • Reservation: The benefit of lower qualifying marks is available only to SC, ST, and OBC candidates from Karnataka.
  • Single Board Rule: All subjects must be passed from a single board. Marksheets from two different boards (e.g., Physics/Chemistry from CBSE and Math from NIOS) will not be accepted.

 

For Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)

  • Qualifying Exam: Passed 2nd PUC / 10+2 Higher Secondary / Equivalent examination recognized by the State/Central Government.
  • Subjects: Physics, Mathematics, and English are compulsory. Optional subjects include Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.
  • Minimum Marks: 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (40% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates from Karnataka). Candidates must also pass these subjects individually.
  • Diploma Candidates: Diploma holders are not eligible for B.E./B.Tech admissions under COMEDK (no lateral entry).

 

For Architecture (B.Arch)

  • Qualifying Exam: Passed 2nd PUC / 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects OR passed a 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics recognized by the State/Central Government.
  • Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate overall and 50% in PCM (45% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates from Karnataka).
  • Entrance Exam: Candidates must qualify NATA 2026. There is no separate COMEDK entrance test for B.Arch.
  • Application: Candidates must apply separately for COMEDK counseling using their NATA scores.

Syllabus

COMEDK UGET 2026 Syllabus

The entrance test is based on the existing syllabus of Class 11 (33% of questions) and Class 12 (67% of questions) as per the CBSE curriculum.

 

Mock Test

  • An official mock test will be available from February 18, 2026.
  • Candidates can take the mock test to understand the pattern of the computer-based test and familiarize themselves with the interface.

Procedure

Registration

  • Registration for the COMEDK UGET 2026 examination begins on February 3, 2026 (2 PM).
  • The last date for online payment and submission of the completed application form is March 16, 2026 (12 Noon).

 

Application Procedure

  1. Candidates must visit the COMEDK website and complete the prescribed online application form.
  2. Upload the required documents, including a photograph, signature, signature of Parent/Guardian, and a valid ID proof.
  3. Pay the application fee online using a Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
  4. Save the application summary page for future reference.

 

Application Correction

  • Candidates will be provided with a facility to edit select fields in the application form from April 10, 2026, to April 13, 2026.
  • This facility is provided to rectify inadvertent mistakes in uploading photo/signatures, category details, and academic details.
  • No Editing: Critical fields such as the applicant’s name, email ID, mobile number, and test city preference cannot be edited.

 

 

Slot Booking

  • Candidates do not have the option to select a specific exam session or slot.
  • The test session and centre are assigned automatically through a computer-assisted randomization process.
  • The allotted schedule will be indicated on the Test Admission Ticket (TAT). Requests for changes to the assigned slot or centre will not be entertained under any circumstances.

 

Test Admission Ticket

  • The Online Test Admission Ticket (Online TAT) can be downloaded from the COMEDK website starting April 29, 2026.
  • Please note that the Test Admission Ticket (TAT) will not be dispatched via email, post/courier, or in person under any circumstances.
  • The hall ticket will contain the candidate’s name, photograph, address, ID proof details, the address of the allotted test centre, and the test schedule.
  • Candidates are required to produce the Test Admission Ticket and the original ID mentioned in the Application/TAT.
  • The Test Admission Ticket is an important document and must be preserved and presented at the time of counselling/admission.

 

 

Result

 

Answer Keys

  • The provisional answer keys for the computer-based examination will be made available on the COMEDK UGET website on May 13, 2026.
  • If a candidate is dissatisfied with an answer key, they can challenge it by submitting the necessary enclosures.
  • The candidate must pay a fee of ₹500 per clarification, which will be refunded if the clarification is accepted.

 

 

Result

  • A merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s score in the COMEDK UGET exam.
  • The exam results (score cards) will be declared on the COMEDK website on May 26, 2026.
  • The online rank card can be downloaded from the COMEDK website after the declaration of results.

 

 

Admission

  • Admission to COMEDK member institutions will be based on merit rank.
  • The counselling details will be available on the COMEDK website after the declaration of results.

 

 

Important Information

  • Candidates must bring a printout of the Online Test Admission Ticket, 2 recent passport-sized photographs, and a valid original photo ID on the day of the exam
  • Candidates must not carry any textual material, printed or written papers, or any electronic devices.

Counselling

COMEDK UGET Counselling 2026 will be organised in June 2026 through online mode. The counselling will consist of registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment and fee payment. COMEDK UGET counselling will consist of three phases.

Only qualified candidates will be able to participate in counselling on the basis of their rank obtained in entrance exam. Candidates must carry required documents for the verification process.
