OVERVIEW

The National Law University, Delhi released the merit lists for AILET 2022 BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM courses. Candidates shortlisted as per their category in AILET merit list 2022 have to pay the balance fees for securing the allotted seat before the last date. The link to pay the admission fee is available on the official website – https://nludelhi.ac.in. In case, the shortlisted candidates fail to pay the admission fee, then their seat will be transferred to eligible candidates in the waiting list of AILET 2022 BA LLB (Hons,) admission.

AILET 2022 results were declared on July 1 for BA LLB course, and on July 2 for LLM course. NLU Delhi released the final answer keys for AILET 2022 BA LLB, LLM, and PhD courses before publishing the results. The counselling process of AILET 2022 for BA LLB course will also begin from July 1 onwards, however, the counselling schedule is yet to be shared. The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2022 was held on June 26 from 10 am to 11.30 am. What’s New in AILET?

This year, NLU Delhi has removed two sections from AILET exam pattern i.e. Elementary Mathematics and Legal Aptitude. Therefore, the AILET question paper will be based on three subjects – English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Current Affairs and General Knowledge. The sectional weightage for AILET 2022 has been changed as well.

ABOUT

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted by National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) for admission undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) level law courses. This is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission in law programs at NLU Delhi only. The exam is held in a pen-paper based test from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.

Note: No other entrance exam is accepted for NLU Delhi admissions.

Eligiblity

The candidates seeking admission at NLU Delhi through AILET can check the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

Syllabus

Exam Pattern 2022 (Updated)

The exam pattern and syllabus of AILET 2022 have been modified for the BA LLB and LLM programs. The AILET question paper for BA LLB (Hons) will now have three sections; the Mathematics and Legal Reasoning sections have been dropped. The section-weightage has also changed and now the Logical Reasoning section (70 marks) will carry the maximum weightage, followed by the English Language (50 marks) and Current Affairs & GL section (30 marks).

The BA LLB will include a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (each of 1 mark). Candidates need to follow the updated AILET syllabus 2022 to prepare for the exam.

Procedure

The admission process of NLU Delhi through AILET exam includes the following steps:

Step 1: Online Registration

Candidates need to register online on the official website of NLU Delhi – https://nludelhi.ac.in and fill all the required details in the application form, upload prescribed documents and pay exam fee. The application form for AILET can be submitted in online mode only.

Step 2: AILET Admit Card

NLU Delhi issues admit cards to candidates who successfully register for the exam. Candidates have to carry the AILET admit card on exam day. Any candidate carrying the admit card is not allowed to appear for the exam.

Step 3: AILET Exam – Candidates have to appear for AILET at the allotted test centre as mentioned on the admit card. They should report at the test centres at least an hour before the examination.

Step 4: Result Declaration – NLU Delhi usually announces AILET results within a month after conducting the examination. The scorecards of candidates qualifying the examination mention their All India Ranks (AIRs), sectional scores as well as overall scores.

Step 5: Counselling – The university conducts AILET counselling on the basis of the rank list released at the time of result. In the counselling session, qualifying candidates are allotted seats in their respective law courses based on merit.

 

Exam Day Guidelines

On the day of the exam, it is important for candidates to adhere to some guidelines so that they do not have to go through any hassle at the last minute. Check out some important AILET 2022 exam day guidelines below.

Important AILET documents & items

Candidates must ensure that they are carrying the below-mentioned documents and things to the allotted AILET exam centre:

  • Admit card
  • Valid and original photo ID proof such as PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport, etc.
  • Passport-size photo (preferably the one used in AILET application form)
  • Black/blue ball point pen
  • Hand sanitiser
  • Transparent water bottle
  • Face mask

While it is important to carry the aforementioned documents and items, candidates must also keep in mind not to carry the below-mentioned things inside the test centre:

  • Books or any other study material
  • Any electronic device such as calculator or smart watch
  • Any eatable

Reporting time

Candidates must reach the allotted AILET centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam. While at the centre, candidates must follow all social distancing guidelines and also adhere to what the exam centre authorities instruct.

 

Result

Answer Key

Authority has released the answer key in pdf format after few days from the completion of examination. The AILET answer key contain the correct answer to every asked question in the examination. Authority has also provided the objection facility in the answer key.

AILET 2022 Result

AILET Result has been released by the exam conducting authority for every exam participated candidates individually. The result is made available on 1st July 2022 through online mode. Candidates are able to check their result by login into the website of exam conducting authority.

AILET Result 2022 contain the performance of candidates in the entrance exam. On the basis of result, authority has prepared the merit list for final admission.

AILET 2022 Merit List

The AILET merit list has been prepared by the exam conducting authority on the basis of candidates marks in the entrance exam. Merit list has been released after few days from the declaration of result.

Authority has released the merit list for successfully qualified candidates of the examination. The merit list contain the rank of candidates on the basis of their result. Merit list is used in the admission procedure and admission will be offered to any candidates on the basis of their rank.

AILET 2022 Counselling

Counselling is the final steps in the admission procedure of AILET 2022. Candidates are able to participate in the counselling procedure from 1st July 2022 through online mode.

The AILET counselling procedure is conducted for successfully qualified candidates from the examination. Authority conduct the counselling procedure on the various rounds as per the availability of seats after each round of counselling.
