DU Admission 2025: Over 46,000 UG Applications, 7,586 Accept PG Seats; 134 Enroll in BTech Courses

The University of Delhi (DU) has witnessed a strong response to its admissions for the academic year 2025-26, with over 46,000 candidates applying for undergraduate (UG) programs, 7,586 students accepting postgraduate (PG) seats, and 134 candidates enrolling in its flagship BTech courses.
This surge in applications reflects the continued popularity of Delhi University among aspirants across the country.
UG Admission: Strong Turnout in Initial Round
As per data shared by the university, 46,099 undergraduate aspirants have submitted their preferences through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG 2025 portal. The CSAS portal opened recently for candidates who qualified through CUET UG 2025.
Popular programs such as B.A. (Hons) Political Science, B.Com (Hons), and B.A. Programme continue to draw high interest across top colleges like Hindu College, SRCC, Lady Shri Ram College, and Miranda House.
DU officials expect the number to rise sharply as more CUET results are processed and the registration deadline nears.
PG Admissions: 7,586 Accept Offers So Far
For postgraduate admissions, a total of 7,586 candidates have accepted their seat allotments through the CSAS PG 2025 portal. The university had earlier released the first round of allotments based on CUET PG 2025 scores.
Several postgraduate programs in English, Political Science, Psychology, Commerce, and Economics have already seen near-complete seat allotment in this round.
According to a university spokesperson:
“The acceptance rate this year is encouraging. Students are finding value in DU’s revamped postgraduate structure and interdisciplinary options under NEP.”
BTech Admissions: 134 Seats Filled
Delhi University’s BTech programs, introduced under the Faculty of Technology in 2023, are also gaining traction. Out of the 360 sanctioned seats across Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication, and Mathematics and Computing, 134 seats have been accepted so far.
The BTech admissions are conducted based on JEE Main 2025 scores, and the university is planning further counselling rounds to fill the remaining seats.
What’s Next?
DU will soon release the next rounds of seat allocation for both UG and PG programs. Students are advised to:
Keep checking the official admission.uod.ac.in portal
Upload required documents within deadlines

With an expanding academic portfolio and digital admission reforms, Delhi University continues to remain a top destination for students across disciplines.
