The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the CUET UG 2025 results, revealing insightful trends about candidate preferences and top performances. Among the 10.71 lakh students who appeared for the exam, the highest NTA scores were recorded in five subjects, while English and the General Test emerged as the most commonly opted subjects.

The Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate), conducted between May and June 2025, serves as the gateway for admission to more than 250 central, state, and deemed universities across India.

Key Performance Highlights:

• Highest NTA Scores (100 Percentile) recorded in 5 subjects, including popular domains such as English, Political Science, Psychology, Economics, and Biology.

• English saw the highest number of test-takers, followed by General Test (aptitude) and Mathematics.

• A total of 10.71 lakh candidates appeared for the exam out of 13.48 lakh registrations.

NTA also noted that while thousands attempted General Test, only a limited number managed to score in the top percentile, indicating the increased difficulty and competitive nature of the aptitude paper this year.

Student Preferences:

A majority of students opted for a combination of English + Domain Subjects + General Test, aligning with eligibility patterns for central universities like Delhi University, BHU, and JNU.

What’s Next?

• Participating universities will soon begin their counselling and seat allocation processes based on CUET UG 2025 scores.

• The DU CSAS UG Phase 2 portal is expected to open in the second week of July.
