The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has officially released the counselling schedule for the Special and Supernumerary Rounds for BTech admissions through JEE Main 2025. These rounds are designed to fill vacant seats in the NIT+ system and provide opportunities to candidates from specific Union Territories.

CSAB 2025 Special Round Counselling

The Special Round counselling is intended to fill seats remaining vacant after the completion of JoSAA 2025 counselling. This year, CSAB will conduct three rounds of seat allocation.

Key Dates:

• Registration and Choice Filling: July 30 to August 4, 2025

• Mock Seat Allotment: August 3, 2025

• Round 1 Seat Allotment: August 9, 2025

• Round 2 Seat Allotment: August 13, 2025

• Round 3 Seat Allotment: August 19, 2025

Candidates must complete fresh registration for these rounds, as the processes differ from JoSAA procedures.

CSAB 2025 Supernumerary Round Counselling

The Supernumerary Round is specifically for candidates from Union Territories without NITs, namely Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Eligible candidates must have participated in JoSAA or CSAB Special Rounds and not hold a seat in the NIT+ system.

Participating Institutes and Seat Allocation:

• NIT Calicut: 33 seats for Lakshadweep

• NIT Durgapur: 47 seats for Andaman & Nicobar Islands

• SVNIT Surat: 10 seats for Dadra & Nagar Haveli, 23 seats for Daman & Diu

Key Dates:

• Registration and Choice Filling: August 24 (5 PM) to August 26, 2025 (5 PM)

• Seat Allotment Result: August 27, 2025, at 1 PM

• Document Upload and Fee Payment: Post seat allotment, specific dates to be announced
