Admission

MODE OF ADMISSION

  • It is a two-step process. One needs to qualify the JEE (Main) exam and then take the JEE (Advanced) exam.
  • One must have passed the Class XII board examination. Read JEE Advanced Performance Criteria in Class XII.
  • Admissions are done on the basis of rank in JEE (Advanced) through JoSAA Counselling.

In 2021, to get admission into IIT Bombay, a student must have secured secure a rank in the top 2,24,000, including all categories in the exam of JEE Mains. For IIT Bombay seat matrix 2022, aspirants securing their marks according to the cutoff list will get a call from the IIT Bombay for counseling. The institute announces this range every year.
