CLAT 2025 counselling delayed: Consortium of NLUs to approach SC seeking relief against Delhi HC order
The release of the first admission list for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 has been delayed following a directive from the Delhi High Court. The court identified errors in the answer key for Set A of the undergraduate question paper, specifically in questions 14 and 100, and has ordered the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) to revise the merit list accordingly.
In response to the High Court’s ruling, the Consortium announced a delay in the release of the admission list, originally set for December 26, 2024. The Consortium stated, “We recognize that this change may cause some uncertainty, and we assure all candidates that we remain dedicated to maintaining transparency and fairness throughout the process. Any important updates will be communicated via our official channels.”
The Consortium is now preparing to approach the Supreme Court of India to seek appropriate relief. However, the vacation schedule of the courts has delayed the process, leaving the Consortium and thousands of law aspirants in a state of uncertainty.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official CLAT website and other official communication channels for updates on the revised schedule and further instructions. The Consortium has assured candidates of its commitment to maintaining transparency and fairness throughout the process.
