The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has started the second phase (Round 2) of NEET UG 2025 counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions.

Key Highlights

• Registration for Round 2 is open until September 17, 2025.

• Choice filling and locking will remain open until September 18, 2025.

• Students already admitted in earlier rounds are eligible to apply for upgradation to a better seat.

• The DME has warned candidates to beware of fraudulent agents and to rely only on the official counselling portal.

Steps for Candidates

1. Registration – New candidates must complete their registration before the deadline of September 17.

2. Choice Filling – Candidates should fill in their preferred colleges and courses carefully, based on eligibility and merit.

3. Choice Locking – Once filled, choices must be locked before the deadline. Locked choices cannot be changed later.

4. Seat Allotment – Seats will be allotted after the choice locking period. Candidates must report to the allotted institution for verification and admission.

5. Upgradation Option – Students already holding seats from Round 1 can opt for upgradation by re-submitting their preferences.
