CBSE Class 10, 12 compartment exam dates in mid-July, says official

New Delhi, May 14, 2025 — The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the compartment examinations for Classes 10 and 12 are scheduled to be held in mid-July 2025. The detailed date sheet will be released soon on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.

This opportunity is extended to students who did not pass in one or two subjects during the main board examinations. Specifically, Class 12 students can appear for one subject, while Class 10 students are allowed to attempt up to two subjects in the compartment exams.

The supplementary exams will follow the same syllabus and curriculum as the main board exams conducted earlier this year.

In line with the National Education Policy 2020, these exams provide students with an additional opportunity to improve their performance without losing an academic year.
