    CBSE Announces Supplementary Exam Dates for Classes 10 and 12 Starting July 15, 2024

    The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the schedule for the supplementary examinations for Classes 10 and 12, set to commence on July 15, 2024. This initiative provides students who did not pass one or two subjects in the main board exams an opportunity to improve their scores.

    Class 10 Supplementary Exam Schedule

    The Class 10 supplementary exams will be conducted from July 15 to July 22, 2024. Most exams are scheduled from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. However, Computer Applications and Information Technology exams on July 22 will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The detailed subject-wise schedule is available on the official CBSE website.

    Class 12 Supplementary Exam Schedule

    For Class 12 students, the supplementary exams are scheduled for July 15, 2024, covering all subjects. Most exams will take place from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. However, subjects like Hindustani Music, Painting, Commercial Art, various dance forms, Yoga, and Artificial Intelligence will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

    Eligibility and Application Process

    Students who have failed in one or two subjects in Class 10 or one subject in Class 12 are eligible to appear for the supplementary exams. Additionally, students who wish to improve their performance in up to two subjects for Class 10 and one subject for Class 12 can also apply.

    To apply, students must complete the necessary paperwork and pay the application fee within the specified deadline. The application process can be completed through the official CBSE website: cbse.gov.in.

    Important Instructions

    • Admit Cards: Students must carry their admit cards to the examination center.

    • Arrival Time: It is advisable to arrive at the examination center at least 30 minutes before the exam begins.

    • Stationery: Students should bring their own stationery as borrowing during the exam is not permitted.

    • Conduct: Any form of cheating or unfair practice is strictly prohibited.

    The CBSE has renamed the ‘Compartment’ examination to ‘Supplementary’ examination in alignment with the National Education Policy-2020. The supplementary exams will cover the same syllabus as the main exams.
