Bihar NEET UG Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025, students have to follow a certain set of criteria, which are listed below:

• They must have qualified for NEET UG 2025 with the minimum required marks.
• The student should be at least 17 years old as of 31st December 2025.
• The student must pass the Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. Minimum marks required for different categories are: 50% (General), 40% (SC/ST/OBC), and 45% (PWD).
• The candidate’s parents must be residents of Bihar, Bihar government employees, or Bihar refugees.
• NRI students are also eligible if their parents have worked for the Bihar government or resided in Bihar.
• The children of Nation League employees assigned in Bihar and students whose parents are temporarily employed there, but can be transferred to Jharkhand.

Bihar NEET UG Counselling Round 1 Schedule 

 Bihar NEET UG Counselling Round 1 is expected to start from August 2025 (Tentatively). First and second rounds will be done online, and all the details of the Bihar NEET UG counselling 2025 result will be shared with candidates upon publication of the merit list of UGMAC 2025.

Important Notes About Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025

• Candidates are advised to visit the Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 official website, www.bceceboard.bihar.gov.in, for updates regarding the counselling process.
• Students can view the full schedule and register for the counselling procedure on the official website if they want to be admitted to 85% of the state quota MBBS/BDS seats in Bihar state.
• The eligibility requirements, self-declarations, all submitted documents, etc., of the qualified candidates will be checked during counselling following guidelines established by the relevant authorities and/or medical/dental universities.
• Candidates should be aware that they can only register online for admission to the MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc., and A.H. courses once. This is the foundation for seat distribution for Rounds 1 and 2 of counselling. There won’t be another chance to register online and submit an application under any circumstances.

 Bihar NEET UG Counselling Fees 

For Unreserved, EWS, BC, EBC, and EWS applicants, the non-refundable registration and counselling fee is INR 1200; for SC, ST, and DQ candidates, it is INR 600  only. This charge must be paid online, for example, using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. However, when it comes to Private colleges, all candidates must pay a non-refundable registration and counselling fee of INR 1,200.

Bihar NEET UG Counselling Procedure 

A summary of the procedure for Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 is listed below in simple steps:

• Registration: To register for counselling, candidates must open the official website and fill out the application form on the “Online Application portal of UGMAC-2025”. By clicking on the apply button and following the instructions, the candidate needs to fill out their details, NEET UG score and pay the registration fee for further processing.
• Choice of filling college: The candidate must lock the order of preference of their colleges before the mentioned date, otherwise the system will automatically lock the choices if candidates don’t lock them.
• Document Verification: Candidates have to show and verify their documents at the time of admission to the college.
• Seat Allotment: Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will allot the seat according to the NEET UG score, category and preference of the student. Candidates will get a notification about the update if selected.
• Reporting to the college: After the allotment of seats, the candidates have to report to the college with the necessary documents and admission fees on the date of admission.

Bihar NEET UG Counselling Round 1 

Bihar NEET UG Counselling Round 1 is expected to start from August 2025 (Tentatively). First and second rounds will be done online, and all the details of the counselling program will be shared with candidates upon publication of the merit list of UGMAC 2025.

The candidate who gets allotted during Round-1 counselling then candidate will then have to reach their reporting centre within the scheduled period with all required original documents for Identity and document verification. After document verification, if the candidate is found eligible, he will be able to take admission with payment of the fee, and then he will be provided a Document Verification Slip for Round 1 counselling. Only then does the student become eligible for admission to Round 1.

Bihar NEET UG Counselling Round 2

The second round for Bihar NEET UG Counselling is likely to begin in September (Tentatively). The candidate must physically report to their reporting centre within the time frame specified on the provisional allotment order of Round-2 Counselling with their Round-1 document if the seat assigned in Round-1 Counselling is retained for Round-2 Counselling. After verification of documents, candidates will be able to take admission.

Bihar NEET UG Counselling Mop-Up Round

For the mop-up phase of online counselling, candidates who have not previously registered and submitted their UGMAC-2025 application forms—that is, before the first round—must register and submit their application online to be eligible for Bihar NEET UG Counselling.

Also, candidates who have not taken admission in rounds first, second and leave their admission seat in any case, then the security amount will be refunded to the same account. Such candidates are also eligible for the Mop-up round. Following the first and second rounds, the mop-up round is expected to be scheduled in October 2025 (Tentatively).

Stray Vacancy Round:

The expected date for the stray vacancy counselling round is November (Tentative), which will be confirmed by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board(BCEECEB) on their official website. Candidates are advised to visit the official website for current updates on counselling. Students are required to complete the Bihar NEET 2025 choice filling and locking process for the stray vacancy round admissions. Through the choice filling and locking process, candidates will be able to submit their chosen college and course selection. After the allotment of seats, candidates are required to reach college within the time for further process of admission 2025.

Bihar NEET UG Counselling Documents Required

Documents required for Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 are listed below:

• Mark sheet,  Admit Card and Passing certificate of Class 12/I.SC  by the relevant board or council.
• Mark sheet and Admit Card of 10th/equivalent Examination’s mark sheet/Certificate/Admit Card by the relevant board or council.
• Caste Certificate & Permanent Residential Certificate issued by the CO/Revenue Officer of Permanent Residence.
• Character Certificate issued by the Head of Institution, last attended/ studied
• Income Certificate (if needed) issued by the CO/Revenue Officer of Permanent Residence.
• Admit Card as issued by NEET( UG)-2025
• Four photographs identical to one used for preparing the Admit Card of NEET (UG)-2025
• Certificate of Disabled Quota.
• Aadhar Card (Identity Certificate).
• Hard Copy of the Online submitted application form.
• Any other certificate apart from the above as per the requirement of the prospectus of UGMAC-2024.
