Patna, May 19, 2025 — In a landmark decision aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure and expanding medical education, the Bihar government has announced the establishment of seven new medical colleges across the state. This move will result in a substantial increase in MBBS seats, offering greater opportunities for students preparing for NEET UG 2025 and beyond.

📍 New Medical Colleges Coming to These Districts

The new colleges will be established in the following districts:

• West Champaran

• Arwal

• Nalanda

• Buxar

• Jehanabad

• Sheohar

• Kaimur

These districts were previously underserved in terms of medical education and healthcare infrastructure. The construction of the new institutions is expected to begin soon, with the goal of making them operational by the next academic session.

🏥 Expansion of MBBS Seats

The addition of these medical colleges is expected to increase the number of MBBS seats in Bihar by more than 700. Currently, the demand for government medical seats in the state far exceeds the availability. With this expansion:
