NEET UG 2024 will not be held outside India; exam cities increased to 554

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) application form link has been activated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today. This year, the NEET UG 2024 exam will not be conducted in centres outside India. However, the number of exam cities in India has been increased from 499 to 554.

Last year, the NTA conducted NEET in 14 exam centres abroad for admission to MBBS, BDS and UG courses in Indian medical colleges. In the NEET UG 2024 information brochure, the details of the NEET UG exam fees for centres outside India have also been removed.

Medical aspirants who wish to appear for the NEET UG exam 2024 scheduled to be held on May 5 will have to submit the NEET UG form 2024 at the official website, neet.ntaonline.in, by March 9.

General and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) who wish to take the medical entrance exam will have to pay Rs 1,700 as NEET application fees 2024, General-EWS, OBC-NCL will have to deposit Rs 1,600 and SC, ST, PwD, third gender applicants will have to pay Rs 1,000.

The NEET 2024 exam will be held in pen-paper based mode from 2 pm to 5.20 pm. The NTA informed that “choice of exam cities displayed to the candidates will be based on the permanent and present addresses filled during Online Application Form of NEET (UG) – 2024”.

Applicants should select four preferred NEET exam cities for the exam centre in order of their priority while filling the NEET form 2024. “In case, the number of candidates opting for a city is less than a certain minimum, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities,” it said.
