Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has officially started the registration process for Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026. Eligible candidates seeking admission to undergraduate professional courses can now apply through the online counselling portal for the academic session 2026–27.

The UPTAC counselling process is conducted for admissions into various programmes offered by AKTU-affiliated colleges and participating state universities across Uttar Pradesh. The counselling covers first-year and second-year undergraduate admissions in courses such as:

• BTech
• BArch
• BPharm
• BDes
• BHMCT
• BFAD
• BFA
• Integrated programmes and other professional courses

Admissions to BTech programmes will primarily be based on JEE Main 2026 scores, while several other courses will consider CUET UG, NATA, and other national-level entrance examination scores.

According to the official schedule, the UPTAC 2026 registration window will remain open till June 15, 2026. Candidates must complete:

• Fee payment
• Document upload

within the prescribed timeline.

AKTU has also announced that document verification will be conducted online. Candidates may receive queries regarding uploaded certificates or documents through their login portal and must respond within the stipulated time to avoid cancellation of candidature.

The counselling process will include:

• Seat allotment
• Fee submission
• Reporting to allotted institutes

As per the tentative counselling schedule, online choice filling is expected to begin from June 22, while the Round 1 seat allotment result is likely to be announced on June 27, 2026.

Candidates are advised to keep the following documents ready before registration:

• JEE Main / CUET / NATA scorecard
• Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
• Aadhaar card or other identity proof
• Domicile certificate
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• Income certificate
• Passport-size photographs

The counselling registration fee for UPTAC 2026 has been fixed at ₹1000 for all categories. Payment can be made online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.

This year, AKTU is expected to conduct multiple rounds of counselling, including special rounds and internal sliding rounds, providing candidates additional opportunities for seat upgradation and vacant seat admissions.

UPTAC remains one of the largest state-level counselling processes in India, facilitating admission to thousands of engineering, pharmacy, architecture, design, and management seats across hundreds of institutions in Uttar Pradesh.
