OVERVIEW

BITSAT 2025 Application Form will be released in the second week of January 2025. It will be released through online mode. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a university level examination organized by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a computer-based online test for Admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad.

Admission is offered to candidates into various UG & PG programs in the field of science, Engineering, and Pharmacy etc. Class 12th passed or appearing candidates with PCM/PCB stream are eligible to apply.

ABOUT

PATTERN

It is a Computer Based Test and candidates should do slot booking for the Test.
The exam will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of 4 parts.
There is no time limit for individual parts of the test.
There will be 130 questions in all.
All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) i.e. each question will have four choices, only one being the correct choice.
Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark).
No marks are awarded for questions not attempted.
The candidates can go back and change any of their answers among the 130 questions.
The medium of the Question Paper will be English only.

NOTE

If a candidate answers all the 130 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 extra questions, if there is still time left.
These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and Logical Reasoning with three questions from each subject.
Also, once the candidate has opted for extra questions, he cannot go back for correction of any of the earlier answered 130 questions.

Eligiblity

Before proceeding to fill the application form, check out BITSAT eligibility criteria below:

For B.Pharma Course:

Qualification: Those class 12th passed candidates or its equivalent from a recognized board will be eligible to apply.
Marks: At least 75% marks aggregate in PCM/ PCB and 60% marks individual in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology must be scored by the candidates in qualifying exam.
Subjects: Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, & Biology with Proficiency in English to apply. Applicants with PCM will also be eligible to apply for B.Pharma courses.
Appearing: Students who will be appearing in class 12^th Examination in 2025 or who have passed the class 12^thexam in 2024 will also be eligible to appear in BITSAT 2025 test.

For Other UG Course (Except B.Pharma.):

Qualification: Applying candidates must pass class 12^th level or equivalent exam from a recognized board will be eligible to apply.
Subjects: Applicants with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics & adequate proficiency in English will also be mandatory to apply.
Marks: In qualifying exam, applicants must score minimum 75% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics subject and 60% marks in each of these subjects individually will be required.

Syllabus

BITSAT 2025 Exam Pattern

Given are the complete information related to BITSAT exam pattern:

Exam Mode: Exam will be conducted through online mode.
Medium: The exam will be asked in English language only.
Duration: Total 3 hours will be given to complete the exam.
Type of Questions: Objective Type pattern (Multiple Choice Questions) will be asked in the exam.
Total Questions: In exam, total 130 questions will be asked.
Sections: 4 different sections will be there in exam such as Chemistry, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning, Physics, and Mathematics or Biology.
Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be awarded for each correct answer in exam.
Negative Marking: For every incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted.

BITSAT 2025 Syllabus

The BITS, Pilani will release the BITSAT syllabus through online mode on the website. Candidates who will appear in BITSAT 2025 exam are advised to go through the complete syllabus to score higher in the exam.

Candidates must prepare from the subject such as Chemistry, Physics, English and Logical Reasoning and Mathematics/ Biology. The syllabus will be completely based on NCERT. Those candidates who prepare for PG courses, they must prepare as per their respective subjects from UG syllabus.

MOCK TEST

An official mock test is made available to the candidates appearing for BITSAT.
Candidates can take the Mock Test to understand the pattern of the computer-based test and make themselves familiar with the interface.
The mock test is for practice purposes only.

fees

Online facility will be available to submit the BITSAT 2025 application fee.
Debit card, credit card, UPI and Net banking will be the online payment gateways to submit fee.
There will be no offline method provided to submit the fee.
Once paid, application fee will be not refunded to the candidates.

Procedure

Here are the complete information related to BITSAT 2025 application form:

BITS, Pilani will release the BITSAT 2025 application form through online mode.
Candidates will be able to fill out application form from the second week of January 2025.
During form filling process, candidates will have to enter details such as personal, academic, exam center, etc.
After filling the form, upload documents such as scanned signature & photograph in the prescribed format.
Candidates are advised to fulfill eligibility criteria from below before proceeding to fill out the form.
The university will also provide facility to make corrections in form after submission in case of any mistake.
After uploading documents in form, complete the process by submitting prescribed amount of application fee using available gateways.
Recheck and review filled details in form and proceed to the further steps.
Applicants are advised to complete the application procedure before the second week of April 2025 as it will be last date to apply.
Submit the form and take hardcopy of it for further usage in admission procedure.

How to Apply for BITSAT 2025

Candidates can check given section to know step-by-step procedure to fill the form:

Step-1: Visit the website of BITSAT 2025 (Link will be given above).
Step-2: On homepage, press “Click Here” link.
Step-3: Press “Register” button to register themselves.
Step-4: Start with registration procedure by entering basis details.
Step-5: Fill application form with details qualification, contact details, personal details.
Step-6: Upload requisite documents such as photograph, signature in prescribed format.
Step-7: Submit prescribed amount of application fee using online facility.
Step-8: Recheck and review the filled details in the form.
Step-9: Press “Submit” button and proceed further.
Step-10: Take a hardcopy of the form and keep it safe till admission process.

BITSAT 2025 Application Correction

The BITSAT application correction facility will be started from the third week of April 2025. Candidates will be able make correction in the form through online mode. There will be no offline method available to edit the form.

Registered candidates for exam will be eligible to edit the application form in case of any mistake in it. The university will provide this facility for limited period of time. There will be only particular sections which can be edited by the candidates during correction window.

Result

SCORE / RESULT

At the completion of the test, the result of the candidate in terms of the total number of correct answers and incorrect answers, along with the BITSAT score will be shown on the computer screen.
The candidate can also check his or her score report at the BITS admission website on the next day of his/her test date.

MERIT LIST

The merit position of eligible candidates (i.e. those who have appeared in BITSAT and have submitted the application for admission along with 12th marks, preferences, and the required fees) will be prepared based on their scores in BITSAT.
For a candidate who has appeared twice in BITSAT, the higher of the two scores will be considered for admission.
There will be two separate merit lists prepared for admission. One for all the programmes except the B.Pharm. and, the other only for B.Pharm.

APPLYING FOR ADMISSION

In addition to applying for and appearing in BITSAT, candidates also have to apply for admission to BITS giving details of their 12th marks and preferences to different degree programmes offered.
The prescribed application form for admission, the detailed application procedure, and the final list of Degree programmes offered will be available on the BITS website.
The completed application form with the required application fee has to be submitted online at the BITS admission site on or before the stipulated date.
For a candidate who has appeared twice in BITSAT, the higher of the two scores will be considered for admission.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Candidates should bring a pen for rough work, signing etc. Blank sheets for rough work will be provided if required.
Calculators and logarithmic tables are not allowed in the test centers.
Candidates are not allowed to bring any other personal belongings such as mobiles.
