    NEET UG 2025 Seat Matrix Released: 1.15 Lakh MBBS Seats Across 766 Medical Colleges; 9 Colleges Now Zero-Seat Listed

    The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), in coordination with the National Medical Commission (NMC), has released the official seat matrix for NEET UG 2025 counselling. The matrix outlines seat availability for MBBS admissions across India.

    📊 Key Highlights

    • Total MBBS Seats: 1,15,900

    • Total Participating Medical Colleges: 775

    • Counselling Includes: 15% All India Quota, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, and AFMC colleges.

    🏛️ States with Highest MBBS Seats

    • Uttar Pradesh: ~12,325 seats

    • Tamil Nadu: ~12,000 seats

    • Karnataka: ~12,045 seats

    • Maharashtra: ~11,844 seats

    • Telangana: ~8,915 seats

    These states continue to dominate MBBS intake due to a large number of both government and private institutions.

    ⚠️ 9 Colleges With Zero MBBS Seats

    Nine medical colleges across states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana have been marked with zero seat availability for the 2025–26 academic session. The seat withdrawal is attributed to non-compliance with infrastructure and faculty norms as per NMC guidelines.

    📈 Competition Snapshot

    • Approximately 12.36 lakh candidates qualified NEET UG 2025.

    • With 1.15 lakh seats, the competition remains intense—only 1 in 10 aspirants will secure an MBBS seat.

    🗓 Counselling Schedule (Tentative)

    • MCC Registration & Choice Filling: July 22 to July 28, 2025

    • Round 1 Seat Allotment Result: Likely by July 31, 2025

    • Reporting to Allotted Colleges: August 1 to August 6, 2025
