The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has announced the schedule for NEET UG 2025 counselling for MBBS and BDS seats in the state. The counselling process will facilitate admissions to government and private medical and dental colleges in Assam for the 2025–26 academic year.

Key Highlights:

• Online Registration: Expected to begin soon as per official notification.

• Document Verification: Scheduled dates will be released with the detailed counselling prospectus.

• Merit List Publication: After document verification.

• Choice Filling & Locking: Candidates will fill their preferred college choices online within the stipulated window.

• First Round Seat Allotment: Dates to be notified shortly.

Eligibility:

• Must have qualified NEET UG 2025 with the required cutoff.

• Must be an Assam domicile candidate or fulfill the eligibility criteria set by DME Assam.

• Should possess all necessary documents for verification.

Documents Required:

• NEET UG 2025 scorecard and admit card

• Class 10 and 12 mark sheets

• Assam domicile certificate

• Caste certificate (if applicable)

• EWS certificate (if applicable)

• Recent passport-sized photographs

• Valid ID proof (Aadhaar card, etc.)

How to Apply:
1️⃣ Visit the official DME Assam counselling portal.
2️⃣ Register with NEET UG details and personal information.
3️⃣ Upload the necessary documents.
4️⃣ Pay the counselling fee online.
5️⃣ Participate in choice filling and locking during the given dates.

Seat Allotment Process:
The DME Assam will release the state merit list after document verification. Seat allotment will depend on NEET scores, filled choices, reservation criteria, and seat availability. Selected candidates must report to the allotted colleges with original documents for admission formalities.
