JoSAA Issues Final Reminder: Complete Online Reporting by June 18 or Lose Allocated Seat

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has issued a final reminder to candidates participating in the JoSAA 2025 counselling process, urging them to complete online reporting by June 18 to confirm their allotted seat. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of the allocated seat, with no further claims entertained.
This applies to candidates who received seat allotments in Round 1, the results of which were declared earlier this week. Online reporting includes fee payment, document upload, and response to any query (if raised) by the reporting authorities.
“Only candidates who complete all online reporting formalities before the deadline will be considered for subsequent rounds of counselling,” JoSAA stated in its official notice.
🚨 What Candidates Must Do Before the Deadline
To retain their allotted seat, candidates must:
Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee
₹35,000 for General/OBC/EWS
₹15,000 for SC/ST/PwD
Upload Required Documents
Class 10 & 12 mark sheets
JEE Main/Advanced scorecard
Category certificates (if applicable)
Passport-size photograph, ID proof, etc.
Respond to Queries
If any discrepancy is found in the uploaded documents, candidates must respond promptly before the deadline.
Freeze, Float, or Slide Option
Based on their decision, candidates can choose whether to retain or upgrade their seat in the next round.

📌 Important Notes
Candidates who fail to report online will lose their allotted seat permanently, with no provision for reinstatement.
Those who complete reporting in Round 1 are eligible for upgradation in Round 2.
Round 2 seat allotment will be released on June 20, 2025.
