IIT Jammu Launches BTech in Engineering Physics with Emphasis on Quantum and Nano Technologies; Admissions via JEE Advanced 2025

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu has announced the introduction of a new Bachelor of Technology (BTech) program in Engineering Physics, commencing from the academic year 2025-26. This program is designed to equip students with expertise in cutting-edge fields such as quantum computing, semiconductor technology, and nanotechnology.

Seat Intake: The inaugural batch will comprise 25 students.
Curriculum Focus: The program encompasses a comprehensive curriculum covering:
Semiconductor devices and fabrication

Very-Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) chip design
Renewable energy technologies, including batteries and solar cells
Quantum sensors and nano-microfabrication

Admission Process:
Eligibility: Candidates must qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025.
Counseling: Admissions will be facilitated through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process.

The counseling process is expected to commence on June 3, 2025, following the announcement of JEE Advanced results.
Multiple rounds of seat allocation will be conducted, including mock allotments to assist candidates in making informed choices.
