Ranchi – The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced the Class 10 Board Exam Results for 2025, with this year’s performance revealing a noteworthy trend: students from the Most Backward Class (MBC) category have achieved the highest pass percentage among all social groups, standing at an impressive 95.36%.

Out of the total 4,31,488 students who appeared for the matriculation exams, 3,95,755 students have passed, marking an overall pass percentage of 91.71%.

Category-wise Performance Breakdown:

• Most Backward Class (MBC):

  • Appeared: 25,303

  • Passed: 24,131

  • Pass Percentage: 95.36%

• Backward Class (BC):

  • Appeared: 60,853

  • Passed: 57,158

  • Pass Percentage: 93.92%

• Scheduled Caste (SC):

  • Appeared: 17,592

  • Passed: 16,200

  • Pass Percentage: 92.08%

• General Category:

  • Appeared: 2,67,206

  • Passed: 2,43,880

  • Pass Percentage: 91.27%

• Scheduled Tribe (ST/Tribal Students):

  • Appeared: 60,534

  • Passed: 54,386

  • Pass Percentage: 89.84%

Despite their large representation in the exam, tribal (ST) students recorded the lowest pass percentage among all groups, though still a respectable 89.84%.

Key Highlights:

• MBC students outperformed all other categories, including General, SC, ST, and BC students, both in percentage and consistency.

• The overall pass rate of 91.71% reflects a solid academic performance across the state.
