Only 1 female among JEE Main 2025 session 1 toppers; 12 out of 14 from general category
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for JEE Main 2025 Session 1, with 14 candidates achieving a perfect 100 percentile score. Notably, only one female candidate is among these top scorers, and 12 out of the 14 toppers belong to the General category.

Rajasthan has the highest representation with five toppers, followed by Delhi (NCT) and Uttar Pradesh with two each. The remaining toppers are from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
These results highlight ongoing challenges in achieving gender and category diversity among the highest performers in competitive exams like JEE Main. The underrepresentation of female candidates and those from reserved categories among the top scorers may point to systemic issues that need to be addressed to promote inclusivity and equal opportunities in STEM education.
