Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, has secured the highest CTC package, of Rs 2.2 crore per annum, at its last placement session. The average package received by the outgoing students this year was approximately 22 lakhs. As of January 31, 2025, the institute had received 424 internship offers and 1,128 placement offers.

“The placement results this year reinforce IIT (BHU)’s position as a premier institute producing industry-ready professionals. Our students’ talent and the institute’s commitment to academic and research excellence continue to attract top-tier recruiters. The ongoing placement season continues, and the institute anticipates even greater milestones in the coming months,” said Professor Amit Patra, Director of IIT (BHU).

Placements have been made in various sectors, including technology, consulting, finance, and core engineering areas. Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Tata Steel, Amazon, Databrics, ITC, Amazon, Samsung, Oracle, Walmart, and Qualcomm were among the top recruiters at the recent session.

The institute celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019. The IIT BHU placement drive’s initial phase ran from November 30 to December 12, 2024. In the first round, the CTC range was between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 1.65 crore. The first week of January 2025 marked the start of the second phase of the placement season, which is scheduled to conclude on April 30, 2025.
