OVERVIEW

MHT-CET (MHCET) is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell for admission to the first year of full-time degree courses of Health Sciences and Technical Education (Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy) in the state of Maharashtra.

ABOUT

PATTERN

  • The exam will be a computer-based test (CBT).
  • Group I (PCM) will consist of two subject papers namely, Mathematics, and Physics+Chemistry.
  • Group II (PCB) will consist of two subject papers namely, Mathematics, and Biology.
  • Each subject paper will be of one and half hours duration and 100 marks.
  • 20% of questions in each subject paper will be from Class XI while the remaining 80% of questions will be from Class XII.
  • All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) i.e. each question will have four choices, only one being the correct choice.
  • There will be no Negative Marking.
  • The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, the Mathematics paper shall be in English only.

  • Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.

  • Candidates must be passed/ appearing in the HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination.

  • Mathematics Syllabus: Trigonometric functions, Trigonometric functions of Compound Angles, Factorization Formulae, Straight Line, Circle and Conics, Sets, Relations and Functions, Probability, Sequences, and series.
  • Physics Syllabus: Measurements, Scalars, and Vectors, Force, Friction in solids and liquids, Refraction of Light, Ray optics, Magnetic effect of electric current, Magnetism.
  • Chemistry Syllabus: Some basic concepts of chemistry, States of Matter: Gases and liquids, Redox reaction, Surface chemistry, Nature of chemical bond, Hydrogen, s-Block elements(Alkali and alkaline earth metals), Basic principles and techniques in organic chemistry, Alkanes.
  • Biology (Botany) Syllabus: Diversity in organisms, Biochemistry of cell, Plant Water Relations and Mineral Nutrition, Plant Growth and Development.
  • Biology (Zoology) Syllabus: Organization of Cell, Animal tissues, Human Nutrition, Human Respiration.

Class XII Syllabus

  • Mathematics Syllabus: Mathematical Logic, Matrices, Trigonometric functions, Pair of straight lines, Circle, Conics, Vectors, Three-dimensional geometry, Line, Plane, Linear programming problems, Continuity, Differentiation, Application of derivative, Integration, Applications of definite integral, Differential equation, Statistics, Probability distribution, Bernoulli trials and Binomial distribution
  • Physics Syllabus: Circular motion, Gravitation, Rotational motion, Oscillations, Elasticity, Surface tension, Wave motion, Stationary waves, Kinetic theory, Wave theory, Interference and diffraction, Electrostatics, Current electricity, Magnetic effects of electric current, Magnetism, Electromagnetic inductions, Electrons and Photons, Atoms, Molecules and Nuclei, Semiconductors, Communication systems.
  • Chemistry Syllabus: Solid State, Solutions and colligative properties, Chemical Thermodynamics and energetic, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-Block Elements, d and f Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Halogen derivatives of alkanes (and arenes), Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life.

Procedure

REGISTRATION

  • The registrations for MHT-CET 2022 examination will begin on February 10, 2022.
  • The last date to apply without any late fee is March 31, 2022 April 15, 2022 and the last date to apply with a late fee of Rs. 500 is April 7, 2022 April 23, 2022 May 11, 2022.
  • UPDATE (Mar 30, 2022): Last date to apply for MHT-CET 2022 has been extended

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Visit the MHT-CET site & click on “Registration (For New Candidates)”.
  2. Read the instructions carefully and click Ok.
  3. Fill the online application form with appropriate details and Upload your scanned photograph and Signature.
  4. Pay the examination fee online using a Debit card/ Credit card/ Net Banking.
  5. Save the generated confirmation page for future use.

 

Result

ANSWER KEYS

  • The answer keys of the computer based examination will be made available on the MHT-CET website as per schedule.
  • The recorded responses of the candidates will also be made available to candidates along with the answer keys.

 

RESULT

  • The result of the exam is expected to be declared on the MHT-CET website after it’s notified.

ALL INDIA CANDIDATE

  • The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this category.

 

MINORITY CANDIDATE

  • The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from the State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this category.

 

OTHERS

  • Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National are exempted from appearing for MHTCET.
  • In order to normalize the candidate scores across multiple sessions, Percentile scores will be used.
  • The Percentile Score is a score calculated based on the relative performance of all the candidates who appeared in the exam. It will be calculated up to 5 decimal places to avoid the bunching effect and reduce ties.
  • Candidates will be ranked by their Percentile score.
  • The score and rank secured by a candidate will be shown in the result.
