OVERVIEW

International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH) is an autonomous university and has evolved strong research programmes in various areas. It conducts institutional level counselling for admission to its B.Tech and Dual Degree programmes.

IIIT Hyderabad Admissions 2024 notification for UGEE admission mode has been released.

Admissions will be done through (Refer Modes of Admission):

  • JEE (Main) Mode
  • DASA Mode
  • UGEE Mode
  • Olympiad Mode
  • SPEC Mode

ABOUT

MODES OF ADMISSION

 

JEE (MAIN) MODE

  • For admission to Single Degree Programmes.
  • Admission through JEE (Main) percentile scores.

 

DASA MODE

  • For students who have studied XI and XII (or equivalent) outside India OR hold a foreign passport.
  • Admission through SAT and SAT Subject Scores.

 

UGEE MODE

  • For admission to Dual Degree Programmes.
  • Admission based on an entrance examination followed by an interview.
  • The exam will be a computer based test of 3 hours duration.
  • There will be 2 sections namely Subject Proficiency Test (SUPR) and Research Aptitude Test (REAP).
  • Section I will include questions on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics while Section II will include critical and creative thinking questions on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • Applicants will be ranked on the basis of REAP section score while the SUPR section score will be used for filtering.

 

OLYMPIAD MODE

  • For admission to Single Degree and Dual Degree Programmes.
  • For students selected for training to represent India at certified International Olympiads during the last 4 years.

 

SPEC MODE

  • For admission to Single Degree Programmes.
  • For students who qualified for the UDAAN scheme of CBSE OR studying in 4th semester of a six-year integrated XIIth + four-year undergraduate program OR studied from class 6th to 12th at a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV).

Eligiblity

JEE (Main) Mode Eligibility

  • Take JEE (Main) exam
  • Obtain a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII.

DASA Mode Eligibility

Eligibility criteria has been modified for this year due to covid circumstances.

  • Complete class 12th or equivalent by June 2023 or earlier.
  • Obtain a minimum aggregate score of 1070 (out of a maximum of 1600) in SAT.
  • SAT Test scores are mandatory for the application; the essay part of SAT is not required.
  • A candidate should have written the SAT and SAT subject tests not earlier than May 2021.

UGEE Mode Eligibility

 

  • Completed class XII or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics by June 2023.

SPEC Mode Eligibility

  • Passed class XII or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

CRITERIA OF SELECTION

JEE (Main) Mode

Admissions will be on the basis of total percentile in JEE (Main) examination.

DASA Mode

Admissions will be on the basis of SAT Test Scores.

UGEE Mode

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of performance in the entrance examination. These candidates have to appear for an interview. Admissions will be solely based on the performance in the interview.

Olympiad Mode

Admissions will be on the basis of performance in interview.

SPEC Mode

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of performance in the entrance examination. These candidates have to appear for an interview. Admissions will be solely based on the performance in the interview.

 

Syllabus

Syllabus for IIITH UGEE will be same as CBSE XI and XII standard Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

MOCK TEST

  • The official mock test is made available to the candidates appearing for IIITH UGEE.
  • Candidates can take the Mock Test to understand the pattern of the computer based test and make themselves familiar with the interface.
  • Candidates can access the IIITH UGEE official Mock Test here.
  • The mock test is for practice purpose only.

Procedure

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Visit IIIT Hyderabad Admissions website & click on the appropriate mode of admission.
  2. Fill the application form with requisite information and pay the application fee to complete application.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  • Candidates need to visit the IIIT-H Admissions website and register.
  • Login and fill the prescribed application form.
  • Pay the application fee online.
  • Download a copy of the application for future reference.

 

HALL TICKET / ADMIT CARD

  • The admit card can be downloaded from the IIITH Admissions site after it’s notified.
  • Please note that the Admit Card will be issued only to those candidates whose Application form is complete in all respects and has been submitted successfully on or before the last date of filling.
  • Candidates are required to produce the admit card at the test centre without which entry will not be allowed.

 

 

 

Result

RESULT

  • Results will be available on the IIIT-H site after it’s notified.
  • Applicants will be ranked on the basis of REAP section score while the SUPR section score will be used for filtering.
  • Candidates who clear the Qualifying Cutoff need to appear for an interview as per the notified schedule.
  • The decision on final offer of admission will be solely based on the interview performance.

  • For admission to IIIT-H Dual Degree Programmes, a candidate needs to take the UGEE exam followed by an interview which will be held as per the notified schedule.
  • Only the candidates who clear the Qualifying Cutoff are called for an interview.
  • The decision on final offer of admission will be solely based on the interview performance.
