The Army Institute of Law has released admit card for AIL LET 2022. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website – ail.ac.in. The law entrance exam for BA LLB admissions at the Army Institute of Law, Mohali will be held in a Computer-Based Test on June 25, 2022. ABOUT

AIL LET is the Law Entrance Test (LET) conducted by Army Institute of Law (AIL) for admissions to BA LLB course. The entrance test consists of a paper with 4 sections for a duration of two hours. The paper has objective type questions of a standard expected of 10+2 students. The questions in the exam are asked from Mental Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Law Aptitude and General English. The total marks in the paper is 200 and each question carries 1 marks. No negative marking is done in case of wrong attempts. This is an institute level exam conducted in about 50 test centers across India. Through AIL LET, as many as 100 BA LLB seats are offered including 75 for wards of Army Personnel,20 for Punjab Resident Civil Category, and 05 seats are available for all India category candidates.

Eligiblity

Candidates seeking admission to BA LLB course at the law institute should fulfil the eligibility criteria as under:

  • Candidates passed or appearing in Class 12th or equivalent examination from Punjab School Education Board or any other state or national board of education in India.
  • They must have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates who have completed their qualifying exam from open university are not eligible for admission to the law course.
  • Candidates who are clearing Class 12th compartment papers are not eligible for admission at AIL.

Syllabus

AIL LET 2022 syllabus mentions the topics for each subject included in the test paper. The Army Institute of Law (AIL) has not prescribed any detailed syllabus for the law entrance test but has mentioned the subjects only. Procedure

The Army Institute of Law (AIL) has enabled the application correction window for AIL LET 2022 from May 27 onwards. Candidates can cross-check and edit their application forms before 9 pm on May 30. The AIL LET 2022 application form was available in online mode only. Candidates seeking admissions to BA LLB course offered at the law institute could apply before the last date of application, which was May 17 with regular fee INR 3,000. In case, they missed out this chance, then they could apply before May 23 with an additional fee of INR 1,000. Candidates should also check the required documents to fill the application form of AIL LET 2022 beforehand.

Correction Window

AIL has enabled the correction window for AIL LET 2022 applicants to edit their details as under:

  • Name – Should be as per DOB certificate or Class 10 certificate
  • Academic documents – Marks/ status to be filled correctly
  • Reserved category details
  • Army Category/ Punjab Category details and supporting documents
  • Correction in Photograph and Signature
  • Changing Test centre preferences

Candidates need not pay any fee to edit their details in their application form. The last date of correction facility is May 30 before 9 pm.

How to fill AIL LET 2022 Application Form?

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Visit the official website of the Army Institute of Law and click on the ‘Online Registration’ link.
  • Enter the details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, email ID and password.
  • After registration, candidates will get AIL LET 2022 registration number and password on their email ID as well as mobile number

Step 2: Pay the Application Fee

  • Candidates can pay the application fee – INR 3000 in online mode only using  Internet banking, Debit/Credit Card options.
  • The offline mode of application fee payment has been discontinued.
  • The fee status will be updated in the applicant’ account and the candidate can proceed to the next step once it is successful.

Step 3: Fill up the Application Form

Candidates can log in again using their registration ID and password to fill up their application details as under:

  • Personal details – category, parents detail,
  • Contact information – phone number, alternative phone number, address and other details
  • Academic qualification – class 12th marks, school name, education board name etc.

Step 4: Upload Documents

In the next step, candidates have to upload the scanned copies of the documents including photograph and signature as under:

Step 5: Submit the AIL LET Application Form

After uploading the documents, candidates have to cross-check the filled in application for any errors, if found any then correct them.

  • Candidates have to submit the application form in online mode only.
  • Candidates will not be able to make any changes in the application form once it has been submitted.
  • After the form has been submitted a confirmation message will appear on the screen for ‘form successfully submitted’.
  • Candidates can download the submitted application form and get printouts of the same for future references.

Result

Army Institute of Law will announce AIL LET 2022 results online. Candidates can check their results by entering their login credentials i.e. user id and password. The scorecard of AIL LET 2022 mentions the qualifying status of candidates with marks in each section and the overall exam. AIL will also publish a merit list on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in Army Institute of Law’s LET 2022 exam for the admission process.

How to Check AIL LET 2022 Result?

Candidates can check the results of AIL LET 2022 as per the simple steps below:

Step 1: Open official website of Army Institute of Law – https://ail.ac.in/

Step 2: Click on ‘BA LLB LET 2022 result’ link as given on the homepage

Step 3: A login page will open where candidates need to enter their AIL LET 2022 User Id and Password and click on the Login button

Step 4: The result of AIL LET 2022 will appear on the screen mentioning qualifying status and category-wise rank in the exam

Step 5: Candidates are advised to take print of AIL Entrance Exam Result

The scorecard of AIL LET 2022 will mention the following details:

  • Candidate’s name, application number and exam roll number
  • Scores obtained by candidates in AIL LET 2022
  • Section-wise scores for AIL LET 2022
  • Rank obtained by candidates

Tie-Break Method of AIL LET 2022

When AIL will prepare the merit list of AIL LET 2022, it will consider the following methods to break ties in ranks of two or more:

  • The candidate who has secured more marks in the qualifying examination will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie still exists then the candidate who is older in age will be given preference.

Candidates shortlisted as per AIL LET 2022 merit list need to appear for a counselling round as per the schedule. They should carry the required documents pertaining to eligibility.

What after AIL LET 2022 Result?

AIL will conduct the counselling of AIL LET 2022 qualified candidates in online mode through ‘Google Meet’ medium. The candidates have to participate in the online counselling of AIL LET 2022 and send the scanned documents as required via email on – ailmohali.let2022@gmail.com. Candidates also need to pay the admission-cum-course fee in online mode through the link given on the website.
