NEET UG 2024 Cut-Off: Expected qualifying marks, percentile for MBBS; determining factors

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2024 on May 5 from 2:00 pm to 5:20 pm. The NEET UG 2024 exam was held in 557 cities. As per the analysis, the NEET UG 2024 paper was moderately difficult. The NEET UG 2024 result date is June 14. NTA will issue the NEET UG 2024 cut-off, qualifying percentile along with results.
The NTA determines the NEET 2024 cut-off and NEET 2024 qualifying percentiles every year. These percentiles represent the minimum score required to participate in the counseling process for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and other medical programs.
As per the latest data from the National Medical Commission (NMC), admission to over 1 lakh MBBS seats in 612 medical and 315 dental colleges, 26,949 BDS seats, 52,720 AYUSH seats, 603 BVSc and AH seats, 1,899 AIIMS seats, and 249 JIPMER seats will be based on NEET 2024 scores.

Factors determining NEET UG 2024 cut-off

- Difficulty level of NEET UG 2024 exam: The difficulty level of the exam is a key factor in determining the NEET 2024 cut-off. If the exam is more difficult, the NEET 2024 cut-off is expected to be higher.
- Availability of seats: The number of available seats for admission also impacts the NEET 2024 cut-off. More seats meaning less competition, resulting in a lower cutoff, and conversely, fewer seats lead to higher competition and a higher NEET 2024 cutoff.
