Steps of JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2023 Counselling
Candidates will have to follow the given steps for the counselling of JAC Chandigarh 2023:
Step 1 – Registration: In the first step, the candidates have to register for the counselling process at the official website. The required details such as name, mother’s name, date of birth, JEE Main 2023 application number, contact details and more has to be entered. A password also has to be generated for future use. Once the candidates login, their basic information will be displayed in read only mode. The following details have to be submitted by the candidates:
Obtained total marks in the 10+2 (or equivalent) qualifying examination
Category of the candidate (General, BC, SC, ST)
Sub-category (ies) as appearing on registration form
Place of the school from where the candidate has appeared for the qualifying examination (Chandigarh/ Outside Chandigarh)
Next, the candidate will have to pay the non-refundable application fee through online mode (net banking/debit card/credit card) or offline mode (e-challan).
Step 2 – Document Verification: Candidates who belong to the following mentioned categories will have to report for document verification. All of the required documents have to be brought to the centre.

General/SC/ST registered candidates will have to report for the document verification if they wish to avail the benefit of any of the categories mentioned above.
Original as well as set of relevant affidavit(s)/undertaking(s)/self attested photocopies have to be carried. The following documents have to be presented for the verification:
Electronic Payment Gateway (EPG) receipt
JEE Main 2022 score card
Marks Sheet of class 12th and 10th
Class 10 Certificate for Date of birth
Category certificate (if applicable)
Character Certificate from the last attended institute
Migration/Transfer Certificate
Step 3 – Choice Filling: A list of choices will be displayed on the screen for the candidates. Selection of choice of college and course has to be done as per the preference of the candidates. If the candidates are eligible for admissions into both the streams, the choices have to be selected as a single set of combined choices for engineering & architecture. For candidates who will be eligible only for B.Arch admissions, only one choice of Architecture in CCA will be available. Change or re-order choices, delete earlier one and add new choices can be done any number of times until it is locked.
Step 4 – Mock Counselling: The authorities will conduct a mock counselling to help the candidates understand which institutes they will be allotted as per their current choice preferences. After checking their mock allotment, the candidates will be able to rearrange their choices for a better allotment.
Step 5 – Locking of Choices: Candidates can check their selected choices and edit them as per their preference. Locking of choices must be done before the final date specified by the authorities. If the choices are not locked before the final date, the last saved choices will be automatically entered. Once the choices are locked, the candidates will not be allowed to edit it. If choice filling and locking is not done by any candidate, then he/she will not be eligible for allotment. However, they can apply for the spot counselling round.
Step 6 – Seat Allotment: Candidates are allotted seats as per their merit, preferences, category and availability of seats. The seat allotment result is announced in online mode. Selected candidates have to confirm their admission by paying the tuition fee and verifying their documents.
