JEE Advanced 2026 Provisional Answer Key Released; IIT Roorkee Opens Objection Window Till May 26

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the provisional answer key for JEE Advanced 2026. Candidates who appeared for the entrance examination can now check the answer key for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 and estimate their probable scores before the declaration of results.
Along with the answer key, IIT Roorkee has also activated the objection window, allowing candidates to challenge discrepancies in the provisional answers. The objection facility will remain open from May 25 to May 26, 2026, till 5 PM.
Response Sheet Already Released
Earlier, IIT Roorkee released the JEE Advanced 2026 response sheets on May 21. Candidates can compare their recorded responses with the provisional answer key to calculate their expected marks and analyze their performance.
How to Check JEE Advanced 2026 Answer Key
Candidates can follow these steps to access the provisional answer key:
- Visit the official JEE Advanced portal
- Click on the “JEE Advanced 2026 Provisional Answer Key” link
- Select Paper 1 or Paper 2 answer key
- Log in using required credentials if prompted
- Download and save the answer key for future reference
Steps to Raise Objections
Candidates who find any discrepancy in the provisional answer key can submit objections online through the candidate portal. The process includes:
- Selecting the question ID to challenge
- Uploading supporting documents or valid references
- Paying the objection fee online
As per reports, the objection fee is Rs 500 per question. The fee may be refunded if the challenge is accepted by IIT Roorkee after review by subject experts.
Final Answer Key and Result Date
IIT Roorkee will review all objections before publishing the final answer key. The JEE Advanced 2026 final answer key and result are scheduled to be announced on June 1, 2026, at 10 AM.
The final result will determine candidates’ eligibility for admission to IITs through the JoSAA counselling process.
JEE Advanced 2026 was conducted on May 17 in two shifts across examination centres in India. Only candidates who qualified JEE Main 2026 and met the prescribed eligibility criteria were allowed to appear for the examination.
